Arrival and reception at the airport, transfer to the reservation lodge, located on the banks of the Tamalakane River. Maun, a term that derives from the San language and means “the place of reeds”, is famously known as a “frontier” city, and is referred to as the “gateway” to the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Reserve, as most tourists enter these destinations via this bustling city. Although ranked as one of the fastest growing cities in Botswana and boasting one of the busiest airports in southern Africa, Maun still retains much of its ancient / traditional (village-like) character, which includes the old judicial court of the leaders who are still active. The infrastructure of reed and mud huts are visible in and around the city, as well as donkeys / carts and livestock. However, there are also numerous hotels, lodges, bed and breakfasts, shopping malls, post offices, a museum and a large hospital. Accommodation in BB.

Makgadikgadi Pan

Transfer by car to the Makgadikgadi Park which contains part of the largest saline depression in the world, the basin of the ancient Makgadikgadi lake that the sunset transforms into a surreal place dotted with palm trees and baobabs. In this park it is possible to see huge herds of migrating zebras often attacked by big cats. The landscape is dominated by the typical and vast “pan”, reminiscent of the similar Etosha Pan; the vegetation is scarce and in addition to the baobabs, in some areas it is characterized by low scrub of small thorny bushes and open savannas. Safari activities among thousands of springbocks, oryxes, wildebeests and zebras that migrate in search of water and food in the grassy plains at the edge of the pan, followed by lions, hyenas and cheetahs. In the evening, the charm of silence and the starry sky. Treatment in FI (all included).

Moremi Park southeast/Khwai Community Aerea

Transfer by car to Maun Airport and subsequent flight transfer to Khwai Community Area and reservation camp. Khwait is part of the Moremi nature reserve, the north-eastern gateway to the Okavango Delta: due to the presence of both marshes and large islands with savannah, it is very rich in fauna The area is characterized by large forests of mopane, ficus and other numerous endemic plants that thrive here thanks to the introduction of water from the Okavango that flows into the Kalahari desert. In these two days there will be safari activities, with open 4×4 vehicle and expert guides, carried out between sandy paths where it is possible to make unexpected and exciting encounters with large mammals, including the entire range of felines, the Big Five, and very rare wild dogs. Trip / safari in “mokoro” typical boat in the shape of a canoe, which the locals use for fishing and their movements by water and on request “walking safari” activities, always accompanied by expert guides. Accommodation in FI (all included).

Okavango Delta

Transfer by private flight to the Okavango Delta, a unique and magnificent harmony of countless forms of life due to the branching of small and large channels of the Okavango river which dies in this great plain creating an incomparable nature. The flight lasts approximately 20-30 minutes with 360-degree views of Okawango swamps, islands and delta branches. Activities carried out during the two days: walking safari among flocks of animals, plants and flowers typical of the Delta, or fascinating navigations, by mokoro or boat, in the water labyrinths populated by water lilies and multicolored birds, to savor the magic of this delta unique in the world, which flows into the Kalahari sea of sand creating an incredible oasis of life in the desert: among the rustling of Makalani palms, the trills of tiny frogs, flights of herons and multicolored kingfishers, the cries of fish eagles, the call of Africa, a true emotional experience for everyone. Accommodation in FI (all included).

Chobe River Front

Transfer by flight to Kasane, North Chobe park, one of the largest parks in Africa and the richest in animals in southern Africa. The Chobe Riverfront is home to the largest density of African elephants in the world; with countless hippos, herds of buffaloes, crocodiles, predators and birds typical of the area, including the majestic fish eagle. There is no shortage of the very rare “water antelope” sitatunga, red lichi and puku. Among the activities: motor boat safaris on the Chobe River to photograph these magnificent fauna up close, among expanses of water lilies, the kingdom of jacanas and pygmy geese, the smallest ducks in the world and unforgettable sunsets on the river. Safari with open 4×4 car and expert guide, between the floodplains and the savannah. Accommodation in FI (all included).

Zimbabwe/Victoria Falls

By car transfer from Kasane to Victoria Falls to the reservation lodge. Visit to one of the greatest spectacles of nature: the Victoria Falls, discovered by Livingstone in 1855. The bewitching charm of an imposing body of water, to be enjoyed along the path to the bridge with Zambia, amidst thunder and dust of water that creates an unexpected rainforest in the middle of the savannah. At Victoria Falls, the land opens wide and swallows one of Africa’s largest rivers, the mighty Zambezi, creating the largest body of water that falls on earth. As the water hits the narrow depths of the Batoka Gorge below, it blasts a cloud of mist skyward, giving the falls their local name “mosi-oa-tunya” (the smoke that thunders). When the Zambezi is at its fullest, the fog hangs a permanent rain cloud over the falls, making visitors rain even on the sunniest days and visible for miles around. In addition to being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls also form a natural boundary between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Treatment in BB.
